A kitchen rooted in its own garden
Seasonal British cooking by Head Chef George Wren
The kitchen at Ashcombe is led by Head Chef George Wren, with a menu that changes through the year and starts a few steps from the door, in the walled garden.

A menu shaped to your day
From canapés on the lawn to a seated dinner, with meat, fish, vegetarian and vegan menus throughout.

A generous welcome
Garden salads, warm breads and small plates to open the day while the drinks go round.

Plates worth sitting down for
Cotswold beef and lamb, day-boat fish and garden vegetables, cooked simply and well.

A sweet last word
Puddings, a cheese board from the Gloucestershire dairy, and coffee by the fire.
From the menu
Grown close, cooked simply
Almost everything on the table starts within a few miles of it. Our walled kitchen garden, Cotswold farms and West Country suppliers do most of the work, and the kitchen tries not to get in their way.
- Vegetables and herbs from our walled kitchen garden
- Beef and lamb from Cotswold farms
- Cheese from the Gloucestershire dairy
Add a Champagne reception, or an English sparkling from a vineyard a few valleys over.
Full seasonal menus available on request.
